How It Works

Our engine springs into action just minutes after each major gravel event. We select races featuring top-tier cyclists and highly competitive fields. The magic happens through an algorithm called Elo, a specialized algorithm adapted from the chess world to handle multi-athlete events like gravel races. In simple terms, each cyclist starts with a pre-race score. Post-race, this score is updated based on their performance and the competitors they faced. So an athlete's GravelRank score is always a real-time measure of their gravel cycling prowess.
